As a part of social commitment to improve quality of life in Group Housing Complexes financed by the DCHFC, to collect garbage within the group housing complex. DCHFC has got a scientific garbage Rickshaw developed with the help of Asian Institute of Transport Development and Indian Plastic Institute.    

In order to improve quality of the life of the residents of the Group Housing Complexes financed by the Delhi Co-operative Housing Finance Corporation Ltd., for internal garbage collection a Rickshaw with two bins for Bio-degradable and non-biodegradable garbage is given free of cost by the DCHFC.

The main purpose of covered Scientific Garbage Collection Rickshaw is to inculcate the habit of Scientific Garbage Collection to avoid transmission of diseases which generally get their source from open garbage. Garbage collected through the closed bin helps combating the spread of diseases relating to Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Dyherria, whose source is generally garbage collected from the individual house holds where such persons infected with these diseases is having a treatment.
